Who Knew – There’s a Film

I’m sooooooooo ready to be done with Henry James’ Portrait of a Lady. Isabel has been a delightful character to get to know, but now that the deception around her is unraveling, it’s difficult to watch her life unfold. I will finish the book, but found this tidbit on YouTube as a diversion. Nicole Kidman is a great choice for Isabel’s Character. The portrayal is a little more severe, even pathetic, than I had imagined Isabel.

The best part about picking a theme, is that all forms of media aid in the systematic unpacking of it! Stay tuned for next year’s theme.

One Response to Who Knew – There’s a Film

  1. Yvonne Hanson says:

OK Dana, I didn’t read the book, but like a good friend I will go see the move with you! After all, I went to see Startrek with you. I’d much rather see a Portait of a Lady.

I’ll jump on the Abe Book with you. It will be in December since the book stores and libraries are closed today and we are going to the cabin tonight.
